Role
The Mental Health Division seeks to assist adults with serious and persistent mental illness to help them:
- Access supportive and therapeutic services designed to meet their individual needs
- Achieve their maximum level of self-sufficiency within individual capabilities
- Continue to reside in or near their home community
This is accomplished through the implementation of recovery principles.
Services Provided
Services provided related to adult mental health include:
- Assistance in independent living skills
- Case management/coordination of services
- Client outreach Medication monitoring
- Community support services
- Crisis assistance
- Development of employability and work-related opportunities
- Help in applying for government benefits
- Housing support services
- Inpatient or residential treatment services
- Psychosocial rehabilitation
