Role

The Mental Health Division seeks to assist adults with serious and persistent mental illness to help them:
  • Access supportive and therapeutic services designed to meet their individual needs
  • Achieve their maximum level of self-sufficiency within individual capabilities
  • Continue to reside in or near their home community
This is accomplished through the implementation of recovery principles.

Services Provided

Services provided related to adult mental health include:
  • Assistance in independent living skills
  • Case management/coordination of services
  • Client outreach Medication monitoring
  • Community support services
  • Crisis assistance
  • Development of employability and work-related opportunities
  • Help in applying for government benefits
  • Housing support services
  • Inpatient or residential treatment services
  • Psychosocial rehabilitation
