Leave
Regular Leave
While regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of every job, there are occasions when employees must be absent from work due to personal, family, or medical reasons. Itasca County supports its employees by offering many types of paid and unpaid leave. Law requires some leaves, while others are at the discretion of the County. Each leave type and benefit has unique eligibility requirements.
Employees should consult with their Human Resources Department Representative regarding their eligibility for leave or to obtain more information.
Returning From Leave
Prior to returning to work following a medical leave, written authorization from the employee's health care provider will be required.

The Light Modified Duty policy is to help employees with temporary medical restrictions return to their regular positions faster and provide them with a support system by keeping them connected to Itasca County.
